Kyle Neal

Coaching Staff / 2017-2018

Team: Boys Varsity Baseball
Position: Head Coach

Coach Neal joins the Red Ramblers for his first season in 2018.  His coaching career dates back to 2014 where he started his coaching career as the head coach for the North Newton Spartans.  The Spartans finished the season with a 20-9 record, the first time in over 10 years that North Newton had won 20 games in a season.  Coach Neal would lead the Spartans to a 13-3 record in the Greater South Shore Conference, finishing second to Hanover Central.  A 20-9 record and a 13-3 record in the conference was good enough to earn him the Coach of the Year honors in his first year of coaching in the Greater South Shore Conference.  In his second season at North Newton he would finish with a record of 18-10-1 and a 3rd place finish in the GSSC.  After the 2015 season Coach Neal accepted a new Head Coaching and PE position at Frontier HS where he would amass a 22-28 record in 2 season and a first place finish in the Eastern Division Hoosier Heartland Conference (2nd Place Outright).  Going into his 5th year of coaching Coach Neal has totaled a 60-47-2 record and looks to lead the Red Ramblers to an even more successful season in 2018.

As a player Coach Neal started his playing career at Southmont HS.  He was part of the 1998 Regional Championship team and pitched in the Sectional Championship that season.  He would go on to finish his HS career at Bethesda Christian under the guidance of former MLB pitcher Bill Sampen.  At Bethesda Christian Coach Neal would be selected for the All Metro Team in his senior year while setting school records in Home Runs and Batting Average.  He was recruited by many Division 1 schools outside the state of Indiana including Top 50 school South Alabama.  Coach Neal decided to further his playing career at Southeast Missouri State before transferring to Indiana Wesleyan his freshman summer.

Coach Neal is married to Christie and they have 2 boys, Carson (6) and Krew (1 month).
