Cross Country Guidelines 2020 – 2021

Purpose With guidance from our state and local health department we will follow the Governor’s State 4.5 and have a maximum capacity of 250 spectators.
Objective Our primary objective is to allow the parents of our players and the visiting team’s parents to attend our athletic events with masks and social distancing guidelines enforced.
Capacity A total of 250 spectators.
Check-in Coaches will check in at the Attica Tent by the finish line to receive instruction for the day’s race. Buses should park by the swimming pool at Ravine Park.
Spectating We are asking that parents/family members remain a minimum of 15 feet away from any team camp, including their own.  Spectators should be a minimum of six feet from the course when races are in session. Family units may sit together in the chairs throughout the park.  Children will not be allowed to roam the facility and MUST sit with parents or families. Make sure your student athlete and immediate household members are free from illness before participating in practice and competition (if there is doubt stay home)
Start Line Student athletes will be called to the start line no more than 5 minutes prior to the start of the race. Additionally, there should be no runouts prior to the start of the race
Finish Line Each team is expected to have a coaching representative at the finish line to assist with  moving runners out of the finishing area. No spectators will be allowed around the chute.
Mask All spectators entering will be asked to wear a mask.  All workers will be required to wear a mask.. Runners and coaches will arrive masked. Runners should remain masked except during warmup, cooldown, and during their race. Runners must wear a mask to the line and remove it during the race. Runners should put masks back on after the race as they walk back to their team area. We suggest runners use a gaiter, wrap mask around their wrist, or tuck masks in their uniforms during the race.

Egregious violators of event protocols will be asked to leave by event staff.
